This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I like. Scroll down a bit to start reading, or a bit more to read more about me.

so this afternoon/evening’s photoshoot was next to this old abandoned cement factory. fenced off of course, else it could have been a lot of fun to explore!

been on a bagel & lox kick lately. YUM. Although taking this photo reminded me that I have zucchini squash in the fridge and a weird urge to sauté them and see what I can do in an omelet. No, not pinterest inspiration (also known as the land of unhealthy recipes for fat asses), but tumblr. yeah, I can’t do this normally either.

Epic Brewing, Wit Beer, Belgian-style Ale
Release #6, 5.2% alcohol
Week 4, but beer #2 (hey, it’s my birthday week. I’m allowed!)
This is a surprising beer to me, but one I LOVE. I’m not sure what I expected — it is both more flavorful and hearty than I expected (given the name, I expected something … light! witty!), but also something I can actually describe as ‘crisp’ and absolutely PERFECT for summer (or overly warm spring days like today). I rarely want my beers super-cold (blame my European roots), but this is actually one that I DO like fridge-cold and I suspect it would lose a lot if it were warmer.
This is definitely one beer I could have in a consistent rotation without feeling like it’s a fruity indulgence (I love Brainless On Peaches, but can I drink fruit beer on a weekly basis? unknown.)
As I do these weekly beers, I realize something. I’m drinking a lot LESS and enjoying a lot MORE. Also, these are exception beers and not just worthy of spending time with them, but in fact good enough that you WANT to linger and enjoy them :)

I’m really an english riding gal (eventing, which means I can also do dressage and all the snotty hunter stuff if I REALLY must…), but I have a western side and since I was too sick to ride today (sob! but I cannot breathe, ugh), I enjoyed bumming around in my western jeans and boots. a good lunge and then hosed her off after some sunning in the round pen (last shot uploaded here).
hellllllo spring!

once a week, stopping by EPIC on my way to work and picking up one of their beers. Plenty to choose from, seeing which ones I like :)
